Payroll & Pensions Officer (Part Time)
Start Date: September 2017
Salary: £22,267 - £24,407 (Grade E/F) per annum full time equivalent, actual starting salary actual £13,538 rising by annual increments to £14,839
Hours: Part Time 22.5 hours per week. The college is willing to show considerable flexibility in the allocation of these hours over the week/month. However, this is a full year post and annual leave will need to be arranged to meet the needs of the payroll processing schedule.
Barton Peveril is a highly successful 6th Form College that is seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Pensions Officer.
You will be responsible for the accurate processing of all monthly payroll and pensions administration. You will have experience of working in a payroll role with the ability to use HR databases and independently carry out payroll administration. It is essential you have knowledge of pensions and have a desire to understand both Local Government and Teachers Pension Scheme. You will have strong mathematical skills and will be willing to undertake calculating term time only contract payments, salary and tax queries.
The ideal candidate will be educated to level 3 or above and will have good working knowledge of databases, report writing and analytical skills alongside the ability to build relationships effectively at all levels and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
