A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a leading FTSE 250 company based in the Hampshire area.

This role would be ideal for an individual looking to take the next step in their career. They will have strong commercial acumen as well as the experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business drivers. The individual will also have the ability to add value in a commercially orientated bidding and contracting environment. The individual will also play a pivotal role in the creation of a Centre of Excellence which will focus on reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis.

To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to have:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Degree level education
• Contracts experience in a large FTSE listed business.
• Excellent business partnering experience.
• The ability to influence, negotiate and listen to and resolve conflicts with decision makers.
• The ability to translate business requirements into open, honest and transparent insight to solve.
• The capability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders through the sharing of knowledge and collaboration.
• The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.

A little more information about the role:

• Act as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact to business leaders; supporting the delivery of commercial and financial decision support to drive future performance.
• Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract and service performance including ROI, scenario planning and KPI analysis.
• Understand the customer landscape and their drivers to provide contract pricing, cash and margin optimisation recommendations and ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and return.
• Champion working as part of a virtual team with the business, Centre of Excellence and Group Finance to embed and sustain the Finance Operating Model.
• Provide business knowledge and interface with the Centre of Excellence to enable their production of accurate financial records, compliance and forecasts.
• Provide challenge and decision support for new business, drawing upon the Pricing and Deal Architecture and Legal Teams as appropriate.
