From modelling and testing the interfaces between Victorian and 21st century water tunnels on the Thames Tideway project, to developing market-leading water jetting tools that make nuclear decommissioning safer, the team has the right blend of specialist knowledge and practical ability to help clients solve even the most complex of fluid engineering problems.
The Opportunity
They are looking for a highly motivated, organised commercial co-ordinator, with strong communication skills to support our busy sales and marketing team. The successful candidate will serve as a point of contact for potential and existing customers and provide administrative support for our commercial managers.
The Applicant
The Commercial Co-ordinator will play a key role in driving activity within the business. Supporting sales and marketing activities responsibilities will include:
- Work with and support the sales and marketing teams
- Coordinate lead generation efforts with commercial managers
- Qualify sales leads
- Make follow up calls from campaigns
- Make follow up calls from inbound enquiries
- Perform prospecting and business development functions
- Contact clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
- Source key target data
- Communicate effectively with the wider business including
- Sharing important feedback from customers
- Reporting activity and inputting into campaign planning
Experience and skills required
- Display a determination and tenacity to get things done, results focussed
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good customer liaison skills
- Strong written and verbal English
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ambitious and extremely self-motivated
- An ability to work independently and as a team
- Proactive and quick to learn
Ideal but not essential experience includes
- Prospecting and business development experience
- Employment in an engineering consultancy environment or technically complex environment
- Ability to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM
