Driver and/or Escort Support Workers

For people with learning disabilities and their families Hourly rate: GBP8:80, up to GBP9.50 per hour (dependant on project) Hours: Minimum of 5.5 hours per week, up to 22 hours if combined (please see below) Centre 404 is a well-established charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to support young people and adults to take part in fun and exciting activities; develop their interests and skills; and access community facilities. There are positions available as a Driver or Passenger Escort. All roles are responsible for the delivery of a programme of activities, aimed at supporting people to develop their social connections; improve their health and wellbeing; and to feel safer and more confident in their local communities. Sessions are delivered both in our centre and in the local community such as leisure centres and parks. We have vacancies in four separate adults' groups, which could be combined to make up to 22 hours per week. The same person could apply for an individual group or a combination of these: • 5.5 hours per week as Driver Support Worker (Saturdays only) • Additional hours available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday evenings as Escort Support Worker We welcome applications from Support Workers who have experience of working with diverse client groups. Previous experience is not essential as full training and induction will be provided. Therefore, if you have an enthusiastic attitude, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work positively on your own and as part of a team, we will be interested in hearing from you.
