An exciting opportunity is available to join a new role as part of Blackburn College's busy Marketing Team. This role is ideal for those with a passion for writing, communications and marketing activities who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are keen to forge a career in Marketing.

With the support of the Head of Marketing and Marketing colleagues, you will implement a comprehensive communications plan and will help shape future Marketing plans with your developing expertise and ideas.

What we are looking for:

You will use your skills in copywriting, content creation and social media to develop engaging communications to our applicants, students, staff and wider stakeholder groups - including the media. Similarly you will write, edit and distribute targeted press releases to positively promote the Blackburn College brand; produce key communications using a range of media (including direct mail, digital and social) and ensure that messages are promoted through internal channels (such as digital screens, staff emails and newsletters).

Additionally, you will support the wider Marketing team with activities including; proof reading, developing new website content and support the development of course information, both online and in printed materials. You'll be fully involved in the Marketing team and will also support Marketing colleagues at a range of events.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone who wants to work within an award-winning marketing team, have access to a staff development programme that could include the completion of a professional Marketing qualification, and progress their Marketing career whilst working alongside (and learning from) an in-house team of specialists covering design, digital and social media marketing, website development and brand management.
