An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Planner to a top tier contractor working on the Hinkley Point Nuclear New build project in Somerset.
This role is a contract role and will be working within the roads, networks and structures team on days. This is a pivotal role within two large organisations who are involved in various sectors such as highways, rail, civil infrastructure, water and nuclear.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support the project manager in the successful planning and control of project delivery within the roads networks and structures team using P6
* Ensure that the periodic project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client through the provision of schedule delay and critical path analysis reports as required
* Work with project team to ensure project schedules are accurately developed and maintained with accurate resource /cost loading where relevant
* Perform critical path analysis and advise of possible actions and areas of concern
* Ensure that the periodic project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client through the provision of schedule delay and critical path analysis reports as required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience working as a planner with Primavera P6
* Experience working on major civils works packages - power plant experience highly advantageous)
* Excellent written and verbal communication
Previously worked as an Engineer or Engineering Planner
