School Caretaker
Part Time Permanent • Salary £9.7165/ hour, NJC grade D
30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Site Caretaker to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
With sound DIY skills you will be required to carry out a range of duties including opening and closing the site, general internal and external maintenance and completing H&S checks/ maintaining records. There are limited cleaning duties assigned to this role and you will be expected to manage a small team of cleaners.
The post has keyholder responsibilities, you will be expected to be part of a call out system and be responsible for the security of the school. An element of the post requires that you meet and liaise with external contractors, oversee their work ensuring good value for money is achieved.
The hours will be an am/pm split 07:00 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00 Monday to Friday during term time with a more flexible approaching during school holidays. All holidays will need to be taken during the school holiday period.
