Ocean Import Customer Service Executive Role:

The import customer service Executive will be responsible for handling the day to day import freight operations whilst delivering outstanding customer service. The main duties include:

Checking import customs documentation and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations

Completing and transmitting import customs entries

Proactively liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers in order to arrange quick dispatch of cargo to customers

Planning and arranging deliveries as per client requirements

Negotiating with supplier in order to maximise profit margin

Accurately invoicing clients

Ensuring all customers are served in line with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Building rapport with customers in order to exploit further business opportunities

Resolving customers' queries and complaints

Ocean Import Customer Service Requirments:

Ocean Import experience is ESSENTIAL

Proven track record within operations/customer service role in the import ocean freight sector is essential

Good knowledge of customs procedures Outstanding customer service skills with ability to build relationships with customers

High level of speed and accuracy

Ability to prioritise and organise work to achieve deadlines
