Our client owns and manages just under 6000 homes.
They are currently seeking an Income Assistant to join their team based in Redhill, Surrey. The main purpose of this role is to support the Income Officers and assist customers to successfully maintain their tenancies, whilst also managing the rent collection for garages and parking bays from first invoice to end the licence by serving Notices to Quit when necessary.
Within this role your main responsibilities will include reviewing, processing and escalating low level arrears cases across the team; producing and analysing required reports and graphs on arrears / rent collection data as specified and supporting and implementing our client's response to changes to the welfare benefit system. You will also be expected to work proactively with customers to prevent arrears by helping set up payment methods; support residents to access services (in particular to get online and access Raven self service) and process administration tasks such as benefit claims, bulk mail outs, admin support, submitting claims for court action, raising and checking invoices and managing appointments for the team.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have some knowledge of rent management and the welfare system. You will have excellent customer service skills as well as being a strong communicator who can liaise effectively at all levels and you will be open minded, enabling you to adapt to meeting differing customer needs. We are seeking someone who is committed to provided high standards of service and who takes a proactive approach to delivering results.
