Training & Learning Coordinator
"When young people are given enough capacity, support and trust, they are an unstoppable force for positive change."
Primrose Manyalo, Zimbabwe
We are living in a time of Peak Youth. Never before and never again will there be such a large generation of young people ready and able to deliver change in their communities. These young people will provide not just the leaders of tomorrow but the energy to bring change today.
Restless Development has recently launched an ambitious new Global Strategy. Responding to the Priorities of young people with a Model for transformative change, our strategy will pioneer both a new type of decentralised Agency locally driven, globally connected and responding to young people and a Youth Collective allowing thousands of local groups & organisations and millions of young people to lead change.
Cutting-edge, values-led and dynamic in our culture, we work out of ten global hubs to offer expertise, support and innovation for youth and partners around the globe.
We are Restless. We are unleashing the power of youth to change our world.
We're looking for a charismatic, innovative and highly organised leader with extensive experience of planning and delivering training events to young adults. If you also have the skills to support and inspire fantastically diverse young people to challenge themselves to change their world, then read on.
The Training and Learning Coordinator, part of a dynamic sub-team, will manage the training and learning of approximately 500 UK volunteers each year. The successful candidate will work directly with our International Citizen Service (ICS) volunteers (aged 18-25), organising and coordinating four day trainings throughout the year. They will be responsible for the development of two learning programmes, embedding this into a broader volunteer journey.
Managing a team of freelance Trainers, the Coordinator will ensure that our UK volunteers are fully prepared and excited about all aspects of ICS: personal development, development impact and active citizenship. They will also ensure that volunteers feel connected to Restless Development, our values and ambition.
The role will involve leading a number of trainings throughout the year. Many of these occur at the weekend, for which time off in lieu will be given. As such, this role is ideal for someone who is looking for a role that offers flexibility.
