Excellent Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services Your new company Is a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Consultancy with a growing Building Services department, with offices across the UK the Edinburgh office benefits from both Local and National projects. Your new role Ideally this role is suited to a candidate operating at Senior Engineer level or approaching that status. You will report to the Building Services Director, work beside the Principal Electrical Engineer and help develop the less experienced Engineers in the team. You will be expected to interact with colleagues to achieve engineering design solutions to the clients brief, taking responsibility for the delivery of projects within time, quality and budgets. The role will demand applicants to have impressive Electrical Design experience, ideally gained working for a Building Services consultancy and delivering Electrical designs for projects related to Commercial, Residential, Retail and Education sectors. In addition to design responsibilities there is a requirement for you to be involved in project management, resource management, site surveys, report writing, costing, client liaison and staff development. The role also requires the ability to work across different departments and communicate effectively with clients, architects, vendors and contractors. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have experience delivering Electrical Designs within a Building Services environment, ideally with a consultancy. The position will put pressure on your ability to undertake design calculations, production of drawings and use of design software such as Dialux, Relux and AutoCAD. Ideally candidates will have experience in areas such as Low Voltage Power Systems. Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control Systems and Data Communication. Our client expects candidates to have has some exposure to managing projects and deadlines, ideally across a variety of sectors such as Retail, Commercial, Residential and Education. In addition your experience should also include staff development, client liaison, strong communication skills, proposal and report writing.
