The Opportunity

We currently have an opening for a Site Financial Manager to join their team in Ashford to
be a key part of the senior leadership team at site, responsible for providing all aspects of financial support.

The Role;

• To provide high quality financial management information by the use & development of related support systems to ensure that the site meets its commitments to the business
• To lead the Finance Team in providing accurate & timely data & information to internal/ external customers
• Advising & informing the Senior Management Team on all aspects of the financial and to contribute & add value to the Senior Management Team at a cross-functional level on all issues affecting the site
• To ensure that all Site overhead budgetary control & reporting is completed & communicated on time & to the correct standard
• Preparation of annual budgets & periodic forecasts
• Monthly reporting & communication of site performance
• To provide strategic focus for the site, identifying losses, cost deployment & focussed improvement activities with particular emphasis on methods to tackle waste
• To manage, lead & develop the site accountant
• To be the site champion on eliminating waste, guiding site activity through appropriate analysis, using techniques & through personal involvement
• Raising profile of finance & delivering high quality financial support
• Supporting the site leadership team
• Completing reforecast & budget processes
• Delivering budget
• Completing the new annual cost standards process

Working hours; Mon - Fri Office Hours

The Candidate;

• Willing to be flexible & fit in with company accounting month end deadlines
• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
• Strong communicator able to develop & build rapport with team & key internal customers
• Experience of a large integrated financial accounting system, such as SAP
• Commercial aware, Meticulous, high level of attention to detail
• Customer focused service provider to budget holders
• Effective communicator at all levels with strong presentation skills
• Project management in a small scale capacity
• Able to deliver set targets within agreed timescales
• Self-motivated team player with drive & enthusiasm
• Experience of ABC costing & preparation preferable
• Understanding of standard costing e.g. raw materials, labour & overheads standards
• Knowledge of production processes ideal
