Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

A specialist brickwork contractor employing about one hundred people operating within a 50 mile radius of Oxford requires an experienced quantity surveyor / estimator.

The job involves running the commercial side of the business under the guidance of the managing directer. Duties will include;-
- preparing quotations,
- preparing interim valuations and final accounts
- paying price-work gangs
- ensuring all additional work is claimed for
- liaising with contracts managers
- dealing with contractual issues when they arise
- cost value reporting

The successful applicant will need:-
- a full UK driving licence
- the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- significant experience of quantity surveying in the contracting side of the uk construction industry
- to be prepared to work as part of a small management team
