Trouw Nutrition GB, a Nutreco company based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, manufactures mineral and vitamin premixes for animal nutrition.
We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of samples for vitamins (HPLC) and mineral analysis (ICP). You will be required to perform all 'wet' chemistry techniques, ensuring turn around times for analysis of feeds and premixes are as efficient as possible. You will also be required to assist and support the senior analyst in their duties and ensure the laboratories, stock rooms and associated areas (and all equipment within) are clean and properly maintained, and that all samples are stored correctly and clearly.
The successful candidate will be expected to become proficient in as many techniques as possible to provide cover when necessary.
To apply you should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a practical, hands-on role, preferably within a Laboratory environment. You will be methodical in your approach and will enjoy taking care and attention over your work. You will be computer literate and be used to working as part of a small, flexible team.
