APU Workshop Engineer – (Aviation / Aerospace)

Salary Negotiable depending on experience

Our client is a specialist company supplying MRO services to the Aerospace and Defence industries.

They are currently seeking an APU Workshop Engineer to be based in their APU workshop at London Southend Airport. To carry out the repair and overhaul of Aircraft Auxiliary Power Units. (A.P.U.s)

Responsibilities will include:

• Test, repair and overhaul of Auxiliary Power Units
• A.P.U. acceptance test and Inspection,
• Fault diagnostic, work-scope identification and definition.
• Carry out review, assessment and recommendation of work content and spares requirements
• Produce bore-scope reports, video’s and pictures

Preferred  Skills and Experience:

Ideally having worked within a workshop environment with engine and A.P.U. pre-assessment / test and fault finding.

Knowledge of the principals of working from Component Maintenance manuals.

Familiarity of Airworthiness publications and Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins would be an advantage.

• Apprenticeship served or suitable work experience within the Aviation environment.
• Knowledge of civil aircraft engines and A.P.U.s
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Team Player
