This is a newly created position to work closely with the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will have experience within the healthcare or nutrition sector

Responsible for assisting with the setting up of the site

Purchasing the equipment and running the site

Any understanding of blending chemicals would be ideal or a candidate who is happy to learn the UK legislation relating to the products

Managing the process from start to finish

Our client is looking for an experience procurement/supply chain professional to manage the Sales demand planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, warehouse and distribution function in a cost-effective and efficient manner whilst leading and developing the direct and indirect support teams.

Key Accountabilities

To fully develop and implement an Operations planning system across the business, ensuring effective and timely communications channels at all levels.

To deliver a 12 month rolling Capacity Forecast with quarterly detail by SKU and balance in monthly product groupings.

To effectively manage finished product planning systems across manufacturing site/s

Facilitation and delivery of site manufacturing development KPIs and continuous improvement plans

Detailed schedule production, demand analysis, weekly forecast reviews and stock reports as well as carrying out cost and waste analysis

Coordinate deliveries; reconcile stock on a weekly/monthly basis.

Manage and control stock holding of finished goods ensuring safe stock levels and continuity of supply.

Procurement of raw materials & component parts from approved suppliers

Liaise with suppliers on all aspects or stock ordering inclusive of packaging, compliance and new product ranges

To be responsible for arranging packaging, sourcing new suppliers, maintaining prices and relationships with existing suppliers,

Assure deliverance of daily, weekly and monthly production requirements in conjunction with customer demands and forecasting.

Implementation of a new stock system and a warehouse management system.

Management & development of the warehouse management system targeting real time accuracy and associated staff training.

Development of weekly and monthly performance reports & KPIs

Essential Attributes:

Excellent internal and external communication skills at all levels

Multi-functional team player experienced in all aspects of warehousing, customer liaison and manufacturing

Able to demonstrate at least 3 year's relevant experience in a similar role

Excellent interpersonal understanding, influencing skills and the ability to get buy-in at all level

Knowledge of project management and benchmarking methodologies

Report-writing skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Must possess a natural ability and proactive approach to Continuous improvement and problem solving whilst achieving deadlines and multi-tasking

Exemplary knowledge of quality and occupational safety

Excellent IT proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software modelling tools
