Lead Commissioning Engineer
Nottinghamshire
Up to GBP42k to GBP50k with allowance, pension and time in lieu
Lead Commissioning Engineer required for an expanding, successful and innovative engineering business. The Commissioning Engineer function is to undertake the site installation and commissioning of systems and equipment for their systems.
The company:
The company are an expanding business in the process market and supply their products to the water, oil & gas and chemical industries. They are currently going through significant expansion. As part of this expansion they now have two requirements for Lead Commissioning Engineers to join the business.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the successful site installation and commissioning of systems and equipment, ensuring that deadlines are met and all relevant requirements, legislation, class rules and budgets are adhered to. You will also be responsible for ensuring all site works are compliant with designs and for controlling and compiling site works documentation.
You will be involved in the recruitment, development of a team of Commissioning Engineers through proactive coaching and mentoring, professional development and feedback
Supporting the Projects Manager to develop site works deliverable KPI's. Driving the KPI objectives within the commissioning team and monitoring the team's progress. Take corrective and preventative action when performance falls short of target.
Please note - This position will require some overseas travel
Requirements
A proven track record leading a commissioning team on high value engineering projects in a process industry
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment with shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Electrical, Control & Instrumentation and / or Mechanical awareness (the successful person should be strong in one discipline but have awareness of the others)
Leadership and Teamwork
Flexibility in being able to work away for up to 2/3 weeks at one time.
