We are looking for Engineers who are proficient in all aspects of system administration and engineering to support and maintain global infrastructure services in our enterprise. We own back-end systems that are used by all Amazonians for daily business productivity including: Exchange, Active Directory, Lync, SharePoint, System Center Configuration Manager, MSSQL Server, IronPort and border email security, remote access VPN, and a variety of Windows features/roles.You will be responsible for supporting highly available systems for Amazon's internal customers. This includes monitoring, maintenance, incident response, scaling, and service improvements through automation.You must be comfortable taking initiative, operating at a global scale, and working across teams in an agile environment. If you're interested in helping us shape our journey and being part of the team, then please apply to find out more.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or relevant work experience• 5+ years industry experience.• 2+ years managing large-scale enterprise level systems.• Proficiency in all aspects of system administration and engineering of Microsoft technologies to deploy and maintain global infrastructure services in our enterprise with an emphasis on the platforms listed above.• Ability to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting or programming language such as Perl, PowerShell or VBScript.• Clear, professional communication skills. Able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Strong leadership skills and a successful track record of driving issues to resolution• Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem solving skills• Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritising needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
