Job Description:
We are looking for a client-focused professional to join our busy multi-disciplinary water consulting team at a Senior or Principal level. With a strong portfolio of work including many high profile infrastructure projects both nationally and internationally, our team is expanding and we are looking to recruit a range of new team members. The team is highly innovative and advises major clients at a strategic level in the UK and internationally. Our projects require a mix of engineering, economic, scientific, modelling, statistical and written and oral communication skills. Project type examples include: 1. Strategic and tactical asset planning and management 2. Asset resilience planning and management 3. ISO 55000 gap analysis 4. Risk assessment and WLC tool development 5. Integrated catchment management 6. Master-planning We offer a choice of management or technical career pathways which are equally recognised and supported by our career development framework. Our clients are typically UK/International water utilities and their Regulators. The successful candidate will primarily be based in Swindon, where the majority of our team is located but, needs to be flexible across UK offices and be available for medium term deployment in South Wales to support one of our key asset management clients. You will be a respected and recognised technical leader in one or more of the disciplines detailed above. You will be comfortable working with our strategic sales teams to develop new business with public and private sector clients and your primary focus will be delivering innovative, high quality projects to the highest technical standards. • Technical leadership and delivery of asset management projects, from inception to handover, working with the project manager to ensure they are delivered on budget and to deadlines. • Coaching and mentoring mid-level staff. • Maintain excellent professional relationships with our clients which lead to repeat business. • Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of project work to meet the highest standards. • Liaise with and support others across the wider UK and international markets. • Compliance with CH2M's HS&E, quality, financial, risk management, business and policy requirements. The minimum qualifications for this position are: * Have as a minimum an Honours Degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent). * Be a Chartered member of a relevant professional body (or equivalent). * Rlevant technical experience. * Be highly flexible and self-motivated towards improving team and personal performance. * Have a 'can-do' attitude and deliver innovative solutions to difficult challenges. * Be skilled at collaborative working, with good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues. * Show technical leadership and accept responsibility. * Be client focused with excellent relationship management skills. * Have an established reputation and excellent technical performance in challenging projects. * Have good presentation skills. * Have expertise in one or more of the aforementioned technical disciplines. * Have excellent written and verbal skills for communicating with technical and non-technical audiences. * Have the ability to produce high quality technical writing for bid and project work. * Have a proven track record of working collaboratively in teams and with other disciplines in delivering projects. * Be a flexible team player, able to work with different project teams both locally and across remote offices and willing to travel internationally.
