We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to provide specialist professional and technical support on project engineering issues to the project team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of projects to time, budget and quality so that assets installed by the programme are fit for purpose. Key Responsibilities: • You will be expected to actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI • Provide support on technical issues associated with project delivery throughout project lifecycle, ensuring project deliverables meet quality requirements, and are on time and budget, and are in keeping with CDM regulation • Work with third parties and relevant interfacing teams to understand and incorporate their design requirements to assist in the production of a viable project plan • Manage the assurance and compliance approval process to ensure the project is delivered safely and within the policies and standards set up by the appropriate HS2 functions, and all other relevant statutory regulations and legislation • Provide and update project documentation such as site records and all test results, surveys and audits in line with HS2 policies and standards to ensure required documentation is provided to support the project delivery • Assist the delivery teams in involving discipline engineers and asset engineers as required to deliver the project successfully • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and partners to ensure they provide accredited assurance for works and services for which they have been appointed • Report regularly and communicate progress and potential issues and recommendations to projects in an effective and appropriate manner to project team and effectively liaise with interfacing project teams to support operations and the successful delivery of the project • Lead a diverse functional team, setting objectives, reviewing performance and participating in selection/promotion decisions to ensure that your team have the necessary skills and understanding to deliver the team's objectives The Opportunity: CH2M are appointed as partners for nationally significant infrastructure projects where we work as an integrated team alongside our clients managing engineering and other professional services companies to deliver exciting schemes on time and within budget.
