An exciting new opportunity has come up in my clients Conference and Events sales team. They are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated Conference and Events Sales Executive to be based in Gloucester.

This is a brand new role due to the growth of the C&E side of the business. You will be responsible for Conference and Events Sales and general business development in other areas like hospitality etc.

Key Duties

  • To have a good overall understanding and knowledge of the organisation and its conference and exhibition facilities
  • Proactively identify up-selling opportunities in order to continuously grow conference and event revenue
  • Responsible for conference and events sales and other business development within the team
  • Handover all enquiries to the Head of Commercial Events to chase and confirm
  • Complete weekly reporting to show customer activity and contact
  • Build effective relationships and manage accounts with booking agents and corporate clients
  • You will work with customers both on the telephone and face to face
  • Organise open days/showcases to highlight the companies facilities to the local and regional conference and events market
  • Ensure data entry is clear and concise in line with KPI targets set by Head of Commercial Events

Skills and experience:

  • You will have successful experience working in a target driven Sales environment
  • Have experience in telesales and co-ordination of conferences, events, weddings or functions.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Confident telephone manner
  • High level of IT skills (MS Office programmes - Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and commercial awareness

The core hours are 37 hours per week- Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work)

GBP23,000 - GBP25,000 + bonus (OTE GBP35,000) + pension and company benefits package

24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
