Our public programmes and events, created for the diverse range of visitors to our nine wetland centres across the UK, are key in attracting visitors and making their day out an enjoyable, engaging, inspiring and sometimes surprising experience (in a good way). We think they're so important that we have created this new post, to lead on developing and coordinating our national programmes, and have some input to local centre events too.

Programmes and Events National Manager
Based: HQ Slimbridge - Commutable from Stroud, Gloucester and Bristol
Hours: 30 to 37.5 hours per week (to be discussed at interview)

We're looking for someone who would love to work in an environmental charity, with an instinctive feel for amazing, engaging programmes. You can think and plan strategically, and have initiative, creativity and brilliant communication and facilitation skills. This will be balanced with your ability to sort out logistical stuff and get stuck into practical tasks too. We are happy to accept applications for this role if you are interested in working between 30 to 37.5 hours per week and will discuss your preferred hours at interview.

WWT is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people. For 70 years we have been pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife across the globe and are experts in wetland management and creation. We work with communities living among some of the most vulnerable wetlands in the world, providing leadership and influence to create a sustainable future for our wetlands, their wildlife and the people who depend upon them. We believe that showing people first-hand how extraordinary wetlands are can ignite their passion to help us conserve them, so we provide amazing experiences at our unique UK wetland centres for over one million visitors every year.

In return for your hard work and dedication you'll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 30 days after 5 years' service pro-rata
Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
Life assurance
Free parking
Child care voucher scheme
Free entry to all our centres
