We are currently seeking a permanent Facilities Management Assistant in Bristol at GBP10,725 (GBP8.26 Per hour) Working 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday on a part time basis, please see below for daily responsibilities;

Role Overview
This dual role position forms part of a small facilities management team based at the prestigious Babcock Air, Babcock Phoenix, Babcock Skills and Learning and Cavendish Nuclear head office at Aztec West, Bristol.
The onsite facilities management team will self-deliver a seamless soft and hard service provision.
The person in this role will ensure all hard and soft FM queries are directed and actioned promptly in line with the in house processes & procedures.
This person will be flexible, ready for a different challenge every day and have a willingness to assist no matter what the query or task presented to them. Flexibility is the key to the success of this role and team.

Main Responsibilities
*Grounds maintenance of the car park & grounds that presents a clean and professional image of Babcock.
*Use of appropriate tools and equipment in a safe manner in order not to harm user or others.
*External/ internal window cleaning using the in house cleaning equipment following a programme in agreement/liaison with the FM Supervisor and occupants.
*Reporting pest control issues in an agreed prompt manner via the Babcock pest control sub-contractor.
*Winter gritting of car park
*Maintaining grit levels and checking weather forecasts to ensure gritting takes place appropriately in accordance with the weather forecast.
*Waste and recycling supervision for the site - ensure all waste is secure until collection by appropriate contractors.
*Porter duties including: Meeting room chair arrangements, projectors, TV's, flip charts, pens etc are available as requested, furniture move requests.
*Liaison with sub-contractors visiting site and ensuring service delivery is in accordance with Babcock H&S.
*Report all faults if discovered within the building whilst on duty.
*Complete objectives in line with annual PDP (appraisal) as directed in agreement with line manager.
*Assisting the onsite catering contractor/team with ad-hoc duties such as assistance with delivering of hospitality orders when required.
*Recording of maintenance records and certificates for all site equipment and booking sub-contractors to service equipment
*Mail - daily delivery/collection to all floor plates of mail/parcels including franking, liaison with Neopost, Royal Mail and Parcel Force.
*Issuing of site security passes for staff to access internal door entry system.
*Management of car park and issuing of passes.
*CCTV - ensuring consumable items for the recording of the CCTV provision is maintained and daily recordings are secured/saved within guidelines of the SIA
*Offer additional support and cover for holidays/sickness as follows (full training will be given):
*Delivering cleaning standards in line with British Institute of cleaning Science. Following correct cleaning colour coding of cloths, mops and buckets. (Full training will be given).
*Use of electronic cleaning equipment (Scrubbers, carpet dry cleaning equip/shampooing equipment/hoovers).
*Use of appropriate signage during cleaning or other tasks to alert others to potential H&S risks.
*Waste and recycling control and ensuring that control measures are taken to remove office waste appropriately.
*Twice per day cleaning of toilet facilities.
*Reactive /emergency cleaning tasks as required within appropriate agreed timelines.
*Reporting & maintaining cleaning material stock levels and ordering via the correct procurement process.
*Use of a washing machine to maintain cleanliness of cleaning cloths & tea towels. (Tea towels to be changed regularly for hygiene across all kitchenettes).
*Ensure kitchenettes are always stocked with dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid and sponges/cloths.
*Dishwashers emptied/filled as and when required.
*Ensuring all cleaning equipment is in a fit safe state by carrying out H&S checks prior to each use including to ensure equipment is PAT tested.
*Report any H&S faults, issues or observations in line with the Babcock H&S policies and procedures.
*Dual role as a cover for the Reception.
*Checking all facilities management (hard and soft) tasks that are logged on the system are routed for the appropriate action.
*Use of company vehicle to run errands if required.
*Travel to other Babcock site locations as and when required in order to meet the requirements of the role.
*Wear and conform to the Babcock PPE H&S procedures when carrying out specific tasks

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
*Ability to get SC cleared
*Full Clean driving licence

Desirable:
*BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science)
*Microsoft Package including; Outlook, Word and Excel
*Previous experience delivering cleaning & soft services
*PAT (Portable Appliance Testing - Qualified to deliver)
*Grounds Maintenance
