Overview

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager in the South West Region (Cornwall to Reading). This is an ongoing contract role, expected to last at least 3-6 months, you will be mainly home/field based so will need your own transport. You will be responsible for overseeing a number of technical installation projects and will be the main point of contact for the customers and subcontractors. In addition to basic pay all expenses will be covered including mileage. The salary advertised is a guide but there is flexibility on this based upon experience.

The Role

This is a very busy role where you will be given responsibility for ensuring that projects run smoothly ensuring that the client is happy throughout. You will be assigning work to subcontractors and ensuring each project has the required equipment/materials, as well as dealing with the financial data of each project. You must be prepared to work to budgets and be used to working to tight deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have experience in Contract Managing technical installations, ideally electrical or fire or security systems. You will need excellent people skills and have the ability to liaise with people at all levels. You will need to have excellent project management skills and be confident scheduling work for engineers and sub-contractors. The ability to liaise with a variety of people is essential as is a muck in attitude.
