As a Mortgage Underwriter you will support the Mortgage proposition by processing all new and existing business applications. The role will require you to manage, efficiently and effectively, your own portfolio of cases. It will be important that you can make sound credit and lending decisions and adhere to the regulatory and legal requirements. Your role will include approving, rejecting and repositioning new applications and back book modification requests. You'll need to be vigilant when assessing information to ensure conflicting or suspicious information is identified. You will be required to deliver a high level of customer service at all times.

Ideally you will be working as a Mortgage Underwriter or Underwriter in a related or similar field such as Credit or Lending. Possession of a Mortgage Underwriting mandate would be highly beneficial but not essential. Problem solving skills, excellent organisational ability and prioritisation skills are important too.
