Vehicle Technician

Experienced Technician required in Main Dealership, Weston Super Mare
40 Hours per week
Up to GBP14.13 per hour

Are you an Automotive Technician/Mechanic? Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent? Fancy working for an established Main Dealer and a great manufacturer?

Overall Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties listed below are in addition to the requirements and guidelines set out in the Company's Employee Handbook. To carry out inspection and service routines. Test, diagnose and repair cars and light commercial vehicles in an efficient, skilful and safe manner. To provide accurate feedback on job sheets in order to process any claims and produce invoices. To prepare new and used cars for display or customer delivery (where applicable).

Specific Duties
To investigate and diagnose faults, calling on the assistance of the Master Technician or Foreman as necessary.
Interpret repair order instructions and technical instructions and carry out in line with Company and Manufacturer procedures.
Plan work and order parts to ensure that the vehicle is ready when promised to the customer, advise the Workshop Controller/Foreman immediately of any possible delays or shortfalls.
Carry out all servicing and repairs to the highest standard with efficient use of time, ensuring that the job is right first time.
Liase and communicate with the Master Technician and/or Controller for any jobs requiring specialist skills, further investigation, additional work or any other difficulties
Once completed sign off job and pass through for testing/invoicing
Carry out any warranty and /or MOT work in line with Manufactures and Statutory regulations, including completion of all paperwork in an accurate manner.
Ensure through your own actions a safe and pleasant working environment.
To handle any customer queries (internal or external) in a polite and courteous manner.
To liase with other staff from other Departments in a courteous and efficient manner in order to order parts, gain information etc.
Maintain high standards of manner, appearance and integrity.
