We are looking for a Heat Treatment Furnace Operator with a good grounding within a manufacturing and engineering background to join our Heat Treatment team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their skills and experience in a supportive and forward-thinking environment and take the next step in their career. Working within an experienced (and friendly) team, you will be supported to help you grow and develop new skills

You will be responsible for the safety of the plant when running, being in line with plant safety manuals and Saint-Gobain policies. Meeting quality requirements and to carry out fault finding/trouble shooting in the event of quality/plant issues.

Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with plant safety protocols and company health and safety policies and procedures
- Assist in training and induction of new personnel linked to the Austemper process
- Measure performance against KPIs and work on improvement projects
- Ensure process controls are maintained to ensure adgerence to control plan
- Liase with the Chassis team regarding running schedules and priorities
- Contribute to activities aimed at continual improvement of the operation

Qualifications
Essential
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good problem solving ability
- Manufacturing background
- Basic computer skills

Desirable
- Experience within a heat treatment or metallurgy background
- Mechanical/metallurgy qualification (City and Guild or equivalent)
