I am now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a medium sized, new build developer who specialise in high end, traditional built properties across the North West.

Because of the consistent success in winning work, they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in the Lancashire region. An attractive and negotiable salary is on offer as well as the chance to join a respected business at this time of growth. People who apply must have prior experience in the house building sector and ideally be coming from a similar size company, however this is not essential.

This organisation do not have the red tape, process driven ethos like a lot of the larger house builders. You can communicate directly with the senior members of the business and are able to voice your opinion/concerns freely. Projects span across the North West and Quantity Surveyors are given the opportunity to work from a site close to their home.

They do offer clear progression routes and performance related bonus incentives so the chance to climb the commercial ladder is certainly available to anyone joining the business.

Your duties will include but not be limited to;
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk, value management and cost control;
- Advising on procurement strategy;
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors;
- Providing advice on contractual claims;
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an already well established business at this time of growth. If you could be interested in hearing more about this, please be in touch and I will run through the company in more detail.
