We have several vacancies for experienced Healthcare Assistants to work with our clients in Chard and the surrounding areas of Taunton, we have clients in Taunton, Bridgwater, Wellington, Minehead, Langport and Somerton, these areas are through our friendly Taunton branch. Shifts can include days, nights and/or weekends - work flexible full or part time hours of your choice!

Healthcare Assistant Position:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care. You will be working in a range of nursing, care and residential homes providing the highest level of care for local service users. It is highly desirable that you have previous experience working with dementia for this position. It is essential that you are confident in your ability to work in a calm, reassuring manner, putting the service users at the core of all you do. This could include a range of tasks and activities such as personal care, domestic tasks and general activities that allow that individual to live their life in the way they choose.

Drivers are preferred for this role, however, we do have opportunities for individuals with access to public transport to work between the hours of 07:00 and 22:30.

You should have the right to live and work in the UK, at least 3 months' previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years. Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs. A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.
