TaxAssist Accountants would like to meet an experienced versatile person who can be responsible for carrying out multi client bookkeeping mainly for VAT purposes. Substantial part time initially (3 or 4 days) with potential to increase hours later.

Location and Nature of Role

The Bath and West Wiltshire Office is part of the fast growing TaxAssist network. There is information about TaxAssist and how we work on our website (www. taxassist.co.uk /Bath). We have an open plan modern shopfront style offices in Bath, close to the city centre and another in Oldfield Park, Bath. Work will be based in both sites, as required.

We are looking for someone to take responsibility for a specificgroup of VAt registered clients and actively develop a client supporting service. A confident communicator with clients and internally.

It is a substantial part time role. 3 days 9-5pm. Or 4 days 10.30 to 4.30pm. Salary in the range of GBP19k to GBP21k full time equivalent according to experience, pro rata down to the part time hours. 20 days paid holiday, pro rata to part time hours (12 days). Starting July 2017.

Essential:

• Practical experience in small business bookkeeping in excel and/or Quickbooks or other popular software;

• Experience in direct dealings with clients;

• Comfortable in day to day dealings with clients by telephone and in person;

• Flexible approach to the variety of work which arises;

• interest in emerging digital books systems

  Advantageous:

• Familiarity with a range of business types, and with VAT reporting methods and options;

• Advanced Quickbooks, Xero, Freeagent etc familiarity;

• AAT part qualified or comaparable;

• Comfortable in a small business environment;

• Ability to maintain and develop reliable processes and records of work and a structured approach to problem solving;

• Use of own car.

  Other:

• Envisaged as an employed role, but we would consider work on a self employed basis if relevant.
