A leading insurance broker is looking to expand their team with a Claims handler.
Working with the claims manager in a small team you will offer excellent customer service to clients, insurers and other interested parties. You will be required to manage claims from receipt of notification of loss through to conclusion.
Key responsibilities of Claims Handler
- Process all claim notifications
- Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the claims process.
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Ensure all necessary documentation is requested from the client in accordance with FCA protocols and/or any other regulatory requirements
- Ensure that claims statistics, when required by the client, Placing Department or Insurers on risk, are accurate and produced in a timely fashion
- Ensure all relevant internal Line of Business systems are updated regularly and that data held is 100% accurate at all times, to facilitate accurate claims reporting
- Support the Claims Handlers / Claims Manager in the administrative cycle of claims handling.
Skills and Requirements of Claims Handler
Ideally you will come from an insurance background. Would consider applicants from a sales or customer service environment.
Essential requirements of Claims Handler
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Cert CII qualified or the willingness to study to achieve this within first 6 months of employment
- Knowledge of market practices in insurance claims
- Ability to manage complex and highly confidential information
- Experience of Excel essential
Salary: Up to GBP23k (dependant on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5pm
