Central and East Northamptonshire Citizens Advice is an independent local charity committed to helping people find their way forward and overcome the problems they face. We do this by providing free, confidential advice, and by campaigning to make society fairer for everyone.
The organisation has expanded considerably in the last few years and now provides direct advice services to around 12,000 local clients annually although through providing a range of ancillary and regionally significant services, its total reach is considerably more. Total income for this financial year is expected to be in excess of GBP1.3 million and the organisation now employs over 40 people in a mixture of full and part time positions, working alongside almost 100 volunteers.
We now require:
Senior Caseworker/Quality Lead
Salary: GBP24,964
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Reporting to and deputising for the Head of Specialist Casework Services and Projects, this is a key appointment that will support the continued expansion of our specialist services division as well as significant development activities taking place with local partner organisations in the coming year.
Candidates will ideally need to be experienced advice practitioners from a not for profit advice background but those with backgrounds from other, related sectors may also be considered. A knowledge of key areas of social welfare law, and orthodox debt advice, however acquired, is essential. Most importantly, and from whatever background, the successful candidate will have strong credentials in staff development, performance management and quality assurance.
