Our recently-opened Weston-super-Mare centre is recruiting several experienced Care Assistants to join the team working in the local Burnham-on-Sea and North Somerset areas. The Care Assistant job role:

You will be working in local nursing homes, residential homes and care homes delivering essential care to residents in a compassionate and caring manner. It's essential you're committed to upholding our vision of excellence in care, which means promoting wellbeing while protecting each person's dignity.

You will need to be able to travel to our Weston-super-Mare centre and to different client locations, so your own transport is desirable.

  • At least 3 months' previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a course with Newcross.
