Our school require Teaching Assistants and Support staff with experience of working with young people with Special Needs in Bristol. We are currently on a recruitment drive for our SEND and Mainstream schools across the County.
Placements in schools vary from daily supply, short and long-term cover and permanent positions according to your requirements and availability. Pay will depend on experience and the responsibilities of the role and is never less than GBP55 per day. You always have the choice to work as a PAYE (directly with Tradewind) or your preferred umbrella company.
Most of our client schools require Teaching Assistants require support staff to support their pupils with additional needs such Autism, Physical Disabilities, ADHD, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Language and Speech, Cerebral Palsy, PDA and attachment disorders.
If you have previous experience of supporting/caring/tutoring young people in the past and have good understanding child learning and development and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs, we might be able to help.

-Flexible work. (We can offer you work around your other commitments, such child care, study, 2nd Job, hobbies, holidays).
-Structured work (If you are only available certain days, we do our utmost to offer you work in those specific days).
-Get relevant paid experience. (You can start earning an income while you are training to become a qualified Teacher, Teaching Assistant or any other Education profession).
-Build professional relationships with schools in your area. (We introduce you to a number of schools with different age and SEND Provisions to ensure you get to know the schools in your area.
-Secure a permanent position: It is proven that working with an experienced agency like Tradewind with great relationships with local schools enhances your chances of getting significant amount of work experience within a short amount of time. We find that most of our candidates are considered for permanent opportunities regularly as we support you during the interview process according to Ofsted standards and help you plan your lessons.
Must have:
-Experience of working with young people (Any age) (any setting)
-Understanding of Safeguarding and Behaviour Management policies
Highly Desirable:
-Special Educational Needs Experience in a care/school/PRU/Primary/Secondary setting
-Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with additional needs
-Training in Autism and Makaton and PECS
-Training in Team Teach/PBM/MAPPA
-NVQ Level 2/Level 3 Qualification in Learning Support or Health and Social Care
