Job Title CAD Technician
Location Coventry
Salary GBP25,000 to GBP28,000 per annum
The Role
Reporting directly into the CAD Manager, you will be able to offer customers the opportunity to create bespoke designs and features using an existing product range and to produce the required design.
You will be accountable for the following:
- Create numerical control (NC) codes for nonstandard items so that the material can be manufactured.
- Programme the cutting machine in accordance with the design so that the finishing department can cut designs to the required standard.
- Operate the CAD package to produce approval drawings for commercial enquiries for bespoke projects as directed by the CAD Manager.
- Produce approval drawings for marketing and product development projects.
- Deliver approval drawings to customers and obtain confirmation that they meet their requirements.
- Maintain records of approved bespoke designs for audit and future requirement purposes.
The Candidate
Job Specific Skills / Knowledge:
Autodesk autoCAD design software
Microsoft Excel & Word for general departmental registers.
Good level of Maths
Relevant Experience:
An understanding of how to use our CAD software to produce approval drawings and
NC code cycles.
Experience in using and understanding architectural drawings and extracting key information from them.
