My client is looking for a Property Lawyer for their team in Coleford. The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the property team and to provide a dedicated, client focused service to their customers and the board.

You would be working alongside the senior management team and other branches to develop the team, and working to grow the property team through promotion, networking and business development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate property related legal services
  • Monitoring procedures and practices throughout the Property Team and to work with the Heads of the Property Teams and the Compliance Officer to develop and implement changes
  • Support and provide marketing efforts in line with those of the companies and other branches.
  • Identify business development opportunities and expansion of the property team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • We would be looking for candidates with CILEX, looking to progress into FILEX, with at least 3 years residental property expereince.
  • A sound understanding of SRA Regulatory requirements;
  • Proven experience of managing/supervising staff at all levels;
  • Experience in and knowledge of the use of IT including all Microsoft software, Case Management systems, internet and email etc.
  • Demonstrate significant knowledge and experience of business development; including creating, nurturing and maintaining productive client and referrer relationships.

  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of business development
  • Ability to motivate, get on with others and be a team player;
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Ability to handle and organise own caseload independently and supervise support staff
  • Ability to take responsibility for the financial management
  • Ability to work well towards deadlines and business targets;
  • Willingness to keep up to date with legal developments;
