Mechanical and Process Technician

We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical and Process Technician for an established engineering and manufacturing company based in Taunton. The company specialises in the manufacturer of metallised ceramic and metal components and assemblies for a wide range of high-tech electronics applications.

This is a new role to work alongside a deputy Section Leader in an expanding section. The role will be to work in the clean room to help in the manufacture of Thin Film Microcircuits.

If successful you will be involved in production, process improvement & machine maintenance

You ideally will have experience in making micro-circuits, so used to handling miniature and delicate materials/components. The equipment is computer controlled and very specialist. Experience in other similar manufacturing environments would also be an advantage.

You will have worked in micro-electronics with vacuum deposition equipment and be educated to HND level in mechanical engineering or completed an apprenticeship.

Hours are 35 per week Monday to Friday. Relocation package may be considered for the right candidate.
