With over 3000 field workforce located throughout mainland UK, this company operates on a nation-wide basis able to undertake site visits to domestic, commercial and industrial premises.
As the Meter Reader, your duties will include:
You'll make your own judgment to decide when it's appropriate for you to call, ensuring your own and your customers' safety at all times. This is a customer facing role, so you will need to be approachable and courteous with everyone you meet.
To be a successful Meter Reader you will have the following skills and experience:
The working pattern for these roles is 37 hours per week, working between Monday - Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 8am to 6pm.

- Reading and inspecting domestic, commercial and industrial gas and electric meters.
- Attending customer appointments and call outs covered on a rota basis with some evening working until 20:00 and some Saturdays required.
- Being responsible for collecting data from residential and commercial properties, walking from property to property.

To be a successful Meter Reader you will have the following skills and experience:
- Competency in numeracy and literacy.
- The ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
- A flexible approach to tasks and working hours.
- Smart and friendly with a professional approach to work.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Use of a vehicle with business insurance to complete the role.
- Must be able to pass our screening and vetting standards, 5 year checkable work history and CRB assessment.
