Overview
Renishaw's Manufacturing Services Division is currently seeking to recruit a buyer to join the Project Purchasing Team. This role will support business growth and ongoing investment in new product development, undertaking the procurement of a range of outsourced goods and services.
Working as part of a large team, as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for all aspects of supply chain quality, risk, cost control, supplier performance, and relationship management.
Responsibilities
* Placement of orders and ongoing order book management
* Expediting orders to ensure goods arrive on time
* Identification and realisation of cost reduction opportunities
* Identification of supply chain risks and mitigation solutions
* Negotiation of supply agreements where required
* Provide management reporting concerns and opportunities
* Ensuring prompt resolution to invoice, quality and delivery queries
* Maintaining accurate records and data within the company MRP system
Requirements
* Experience working within a purchasing environment ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* GCSE's at grade C or above in English and Maths
Desirable requirements
* Knowledge of MRP functionality will also be of benefit
* Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of MRP functionality will also be of benefit

The successful candidate will be able to work using their own initiative as well as working comfortably within a team. They will also have the ability to proactively influence others making sure that business needs are achieved. The candidate will be a hardworking and diligent individual with a positive "can do" attitude.
