This secondary school in Sheffield is keen to appoint a graduate to adopt the role of a teaching assistant for the full academic year with a view to being accepted on the schools very own SCITT programme!

This school is looking for high achieving graduate with a 2:1 or higher in your degree from a Russell Group university with strong A-levels particularly in Geography and other Humanities. You will ideally have experience working and supporting young people through exams, whether that be tutoring GCSE students or acting as a peer mentor at university. You must be motivated to support students of a range of ages and maintain a supportive and patient nature to allow them to achieve their full potential.

The role of a Geography teaching assistant will involve working closely with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. You will be responsible for providing support for these students through their exams and keeping them motivated to do all they can to fulfil their potential.

You will be supported throughout your time at the school by the senior leadership team who have an excellent reputation for providing graduates with the perfect platform to catapult their career. The school boasts a bespoke training and development programme where you will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will work alongside you and support you with your work in the classroom and with your teacher training application.
