Avon Fire and Rescue are recruiting for a Vulnerable Persons Referral Advocate to join their team based in Bristol.

Position Summary
Their Vulnerable Adults team reaches out to the most vulnerable people in the community and helps to ensure they can live safely in their homes.

They are looking for a suitably experienced individual to join the team and develop home fire safety visit referral mechanisms through partnerships with agencies and groups who have contact with vulnerable people in the community and to maintain those relationships and provide guidance and training.

Who are we looking for?
To be considered as a candidate you will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role, including;
• Experience of working with older people and associated community groups
• Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to vulnerable people and the relevant legislation.
• An effective team worker committed to improving the safety of vulnerable people and able to establish and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies and groups.
• You will be required to drive and must hold a current full driving licence.

Service pool cars are available however if you use your own vehicle appropriate allowances will be paid. Duties may involve evening work. An in-depth Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be necessary.
