Manufacturing Team Leader (Electrical and Mechanical)
- Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week - paid overtime available on weekends.
- Up to GBP15.95 per hour (DOE)
- 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
- Performance related bonus scheme

Pertemps Technical is working in partnership with an innovative and customer focused global manufacturing company, specialising in gas abatement solutions for the semiconductor industry
About the role
- Work within a broader manufacturing cell and report to the cell leader
- Responsible for leading a section of up to 15 people in the electrical and mechanical assembly
- Be a first line decision maker
- Work within the framework established by the cell leader
- Control day to day manufacturing activities at shop floor level
- Achieve product quality and delivery commitments in an effective manner
- Responsible for the development, training and motivation of their team members and their performance appraisals
An ideal Team Leader will have
- Preferably a HNC in engineering followed by at least 2 years relevant manufacturing experience
- OR a time served apprenticeship followed by at least 4 years relevant manufacturing experience
- At least 2 years of leading, motivating and developing teams
- Experience of working in a `make to order` manufacturing environment
- Experience/understanding of the following manufacturing elements:

- Kaizen
- Bill of Materials
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Kanban systems
- 5S`s/House Keeping
- Lean Manufacturing
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office and Mapics
