Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN) - Gloucester
We are recruiting for Nurses to join our clients fantastic nursing home. It has been a Nursing Home for over 25 years and it is set in a quiet residential location. It has been carefully restored and extended to the highest possible standard and is set in beautiful secluded gardens.
The Care and Nursing staff are warm and well trained and they use their experience to provide high quality person centred care. A trained nurse is on duty 24 hours a day and they are supported by the great team of care staff. They listen to their service users however frail they are to make sure that they are meeting their varied needs.
Job Role: Nurse (RGN/RMN)
Hours: Full and Part time available (based on 8:00-20:00 shift pattern)
Salary: To be discussed in an interview
What you need:
- Registered PIN
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Team player
- Previous experience is desirable
Job Description:
- Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
- Assess all aspects of Clients' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan. Client Care Plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently if required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy.
- Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company's procedure and NMC guidelines.
- Participate in Staff and Client meetings as and when required.
- Establish and maintain good communication with Clients, Relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. Provide administrative support when required.
- Ensure the Care Home is attractively presented, and odour free at all times, in line with the company's attention to detail philosophy.
- Supervise and instruct junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
- Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.
- Report immediately to the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.
- Understand, and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
