Programme Manager,
Active Access for Growth, East Sussex

GBP27,928 - GBP32,499 pro rata per annum
(depending on relevant skills and experience)
30 hours per week to 31 March 2018 then 22.5 hours per week thereafter contract to 31 March 2020 - mainly working out of Council Offices in Lewes
This new and exciting role will have the responsibility of managing East Sussex County Council's 'Active Access for Growth Programme', funded by the Department for Transport's (DfT) Access Fund; the successor to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund and Sustainable Travel Transition Year funding. Active Access for Growth will deliver a comprehensive package of cycling and walking initiatives, which will provide longer term behaviour change towards active and sustainable modes of travel across East Sussex's key growth areas of Newhaven, Eastbourne/South Wealden and Bexhill/Hastings. The Programme has an emphasis on integrating initiatives alongside existing County Council programmes of work that are focused on supporting business engagement, work force development and public health community development.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of programme and project management, of collecting monitoring data, evaluation and producing reports and experience of co-ordinating governance structures. You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience of budget management and financial reporting and be IT literate. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Monday 26 June 2017. Interviews will take place on Monday 7 August 2017 at East Sussex County Council Offices, Lewes.
