Quality Inspector - Dursley - CMM - Overtime available
A Quality Inspector is required to join a well established and growing machining manufacturer in the Dursley area. The successful Quality Inspector will have experience with CMM and ideally have a background in CNC, Machining or with Aerospace.
The Role of the Quality Inspector:
- To undertake inspection activities both visual & dimensional on a variety of products, ensuring compliance to customer and company drawings/specifications.
- Use of CMM in the quality department.
- Perform defect investigations/analysis and identification of appropriate corrective/preventative action for rectification.
- To ensure smooth running of components through inspection area.
- Undertake frequent Product and Process Audits and report on compliance status.
- Undertake defect investigations by route cause analysis and implement Corrective / Preventative actions as required.
- To perform a wide range of inspection activities both dimensional and visual.
To perform First Article Inspection reports as required.
Requirements for the Quality Inspector:
- CMM experience is essential - must be able to program CMM from 3D models for complex inspection procedures.
- Ideally have knowledge / experience with AS 9100.
- Able to inspect components from engineering drawings using various micrometers, verniers gauges.
The Package:
- Salary - Hourly rate depending on experience - Up to GBP15 p/h.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Overtime available paid at time and a half.
- Pension Scheme.
- On site parking.
