Smart Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected and growing food manufacturing company based near Chard. We are assisting them with the recruitment of Packing Operatives, on a permanent basis.
The company offer 3 x day shift permanent positions across a variety of working patterns, including Mon - Fri, Fri - Mon, and Weekends. Holidays - 26 days + 8 bank holidays
Enhanced hourly rates for overtime (over 38 hours) and certain time periods, e.g. weekends, bank holidays.
Pension scheme - employer contributions of 6% after 3 months
The company manufacture fresh produce, which needs to be weighed, packed, stored and despatched correctly, to ensure their product is enjoyed by consumers who buy it from supermarkets in the UK. The positions offered require you to accurately pack, wrap, label and handle the product, and record those activities, to ensure the highest possible standards are achieved.
In order to maintain the company standards you will need to work at pace, without compromising quality, be able to work as part of a team, whilst diligently following instructions and adhering to training provided. The requirement to interact with your team members, management, and to record your work activities means you will need to have an acceptable level of numeracy and literacy to perform the role properly.
For details on hours of work please contact us for further information because there are a variety of options available. Please note that most often the hours worked would be between 06.00 and 16.00, but a degree of flexibility will be required during promotional activity, and increases for seasonal reasons (e.g 2/3 months up to Christmas).
