Data and Analytics (D&A) is one of the fastest growing business areas within the Nationwide group. Help us make a real difference by shaping our future in Information and Data landscape. This role will be one of the primary leads in developing and implementing the data quality strategy.The Data Care team within D&A are proud to empower the business in achieving Nationwide's data related goals. As a team we enable our customers to realise the tangible benefits of data as an asset, ensuring the right policies, processes and technologies are implemented to keep our data effective and reliable.The Data Quality workstream deliver value through the expert provisioning of data quality competencies. We enable the enterprise to visualise their data quality through data profiling and scorecard development. We support our customers by measuring data integrity and facilitating strategic remediation activities.As part of a team that works closely with the business, you will provide support through the provision of guidance, training and standards in data quality requirements, data profiling, data quality monitoring, data cleansing and root cause analysis, in line with the data management and governance activities.As well as being experts in data, we are fully involved in Nationwide's citizenship agenda; enjoying regular socials and giving our time to community volunteering projects. We aim to live and work by the PRIDE values and become the exemplar team in Nationwide.Please note the responsibilities for this role are the same as our Senior Data Management Consultant role but the complexity of the work and therefore the range of experience required will vary. Therefore in applying for this role you may be considered for both positions.

Who we're looking for

As a minimum requirement you'll:
have experience of data management and governance, primarily data quality but with some knowledge of metadata, masterdata and data modelling have knowledge of full IM lifecycle including documented requirements, data management, integration, storage & modelling, reporting and analytic tools and overall solutioning have experience of identifying requirements associated with effective data management technologies including data quality, master data and metadata . In addition, a good knowledge of the current Data Quality vendor landscape is desired. have Knowledge and experience of methodologies for data management and/or governance either through work at several companies, work with consultancies or training/research have strong communication and influencing skills, preferably some examples of couching or mentoring other individuals

What you'll be doing
Data Quality Strategy - Responsible for imputing into specific aspects of the data quality strategy e.g. data profiling, data quality, monitoring, data cleansing etc., ensuring it is aligned to the overall strategy, and our information strategy and risk appetite, and gaining senior level buy-in Business Accountabilities - Providing support to ensure we have business buy-in and acceptance of the quality strategy, and for providing the necessary support and guidance. For example, ensuring data owners and stewards are aware of and have accepted their accountability for data quality activities in their area. Project Delivery -Responsible for delivering aspects of a quality service including profiling, scorecard build, and develop data quality enhancement plans to both corporate projects and business areas. Tools - Responsible for providing use cases for data care tools relating to data quality including profiling, data quality monitoring and issue resolution. Responsible for understanding tool selection for any projects they are involved in, assessing the fit with the tools strategy and escalating when necessary. Experience in implementing and using either Informatica or SAP Information Steward toolset is advantageous, although not a requirement Coaching/Mentoring - Provides coaching and mentoring to other team members and the business e.g. data stewards, when appropriate delivers presentations and training to up-skill others in the wider team Inform Methodologies/Frameworks - Responsible for inputting into the society change and risk management frameworks to ensure alignment to the data governance framework e.g. data quality
