Centre Lathe Turning Machinist
Jackie Kerr are currently looking for a Centre Lathe Turning Machinist to work in Fairford, your day to day duties will include:
• Achieve tolerances on machined items to drawing specification,
• Working to a very high standard,
• Be able to clock up jobs to a high degree of accuracy,
• Achieve output as agreed with Machine Shop Supervisor,
• Use of a crane (overhead),
• Ability to meet deadlines.
To be considered for this exciting Job Title role, you will need the following experience:
• Operatives must be physically fit,
• Lifting up to 50 lbs; proper use of manual handling techniques required,
• Operatives will spend significant amount of time standing and operating a machine,
• Good manual dexterity; ability to use manual tools,
• Some exposure to debris and noise; operator must follow safety protocol and wear protective equipment such as overalls, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses and ear protection,
• Lubricants and coolants will be handled so caution is required.
