Job Description LOCATION: Lough Foyle, Co Donegal
FRANCHISE: Bar & Catering Franchise
Applications are invited for the independent management of the Bar & Catering operation in our client's Golf Club.
A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY AND LOCATION... Established in 1892, Our client's Golf Club is an eighteen-hole private members club located on the shores of Lough Foyle in Co. Donegal.
This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to build an independent bar and restaurant business based on a regular clientele in the most pleasant surroundings and to bring his or her personal style to this friendly and welcoming golf club.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate their ability to manage a full bar and catering operation, producing consistently high standards of food, beverage and service. Applicants that are interested in applying for the Bar & Catering Franchise must also be able and willing to work as part of the club's management and administration team.
The terms and conditions of the Bar & Catering Franchise contract are negotiable and the franchise will be awarded to the candidate who can best deliver a first class service to the club's members and visitors. (There is no fee attached to acquisition of the franchise. More details will be discussed at interview)
Key responsibilities for the Bar & Catering Franchise to include:
Staff management including; recruitment and training
Managing the club house staff rota to include your position for the proper manning of the bar when the clubhouse is open
Ensure that all clubhouse staff carry out their duties in the best interests of the Club
Overseeing the upkeep and presentation of the bar and restaurant
Ensuring the very best customer service for our client's members, guests and visitors
Ordering and stock control for our bar areas
Always looking at new ideas to improve the hospitality provision for members, guests and visitors including introducing new initiatives to increase turn over etc
To work with suppliers to ensure gross profit and gross profit percentages are optimised
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with licensing law and cash handling procedure are met at all times
Due to the nature of the role it will include some early mornings, late evenings, and working hours will vary from month to month as the golf season and function business demand.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing staff and providing the very best in hospitality. They will possess excellent motivational and communication skills and have a genuine passion for hospitality, whilst having the ability to maximise every opportunity to increase sales and profitability.
Must live within a commutable distance of Co Donegal
Be highly organised and demonstrate an ability to prioritise
Have impeccable personal appearance
Have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and staff
Be commercially minded
