Platform Implementation Manager

Fixed Term Contract 12 months

GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 per annum plus benefits

Work for one of the world's largest providers of pensions, investments and protection going through an exciting period of growth as a Platform Implementation Manager working alongside IFAs to deliver a first class service.

As a Platform Implementation Manager (part of IFA Sales) your role is to ensure the desired platform service is provided to customers and intermediaries and facilitate the adoption of the platform proposition by advisers and customers.

Underpinning your role is an award winning Platform that delivers the complete proposition to customers, including research & development, pricing, communications and service and client management propositions, with the aim of creating and effectively communicating a market leading offering.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of implementation services to maximise the adoption of the platform by adviser firms including:
  • Working with the IFA, Partnerships and Strategic Accounts teams to demonstrate the value of the platform to the adviser through measurable and demonstrable business benefits - based on strong business consultancy theory and practice - and highlight how AUK can support the firm in transitioning onto the platform
  • Complete investigations into the on-boarding transition activity required for adviser firms, identifying any barriers, risks or opportunities
  • Development of a detailed and realistic transition and training plan for each adviser firm to achieve the desired end-state operating model using strong project management methodology
  • Gaining agreement from the adviser firm to the transition and training plans
  • To manage the delivery and implementation of the transition and training plans, working closely with the adviser firm and reporting progress internally and externally as required
  • To be responsible for delivering suitable training to personnel within the adviser firm, as agreed in the transition plan
  • To identify, highlight and resolve emerging issues with the implementation of the transition and activity plans
  • To follow up with the adviser firm at the conclusion of the plans to demonstrate the outcomes and business benefits
  • To gather customer feedback regarding transition and use this feedback to modify behaviours and implementation services going forward
  1. Delivery of required promotional activity to support the IFA, Partnerships and Strategic Accounts teams, including:
  • Working with the IFA, Partnerships and Strategic Accounts teams to develop responses to tender documents, due diligence questions or similar enquiries
  • To assist the IFA, Partnerships and Strategic Accounts teams with sales pitches, and clearly demonstrate the benefits to customers of the managed transition plan approach
  1. Ensure that the implementation services are continuously reviewed and developed to ensure they are as effective as possible whilst remaining within budget 4. Operate effectively and efficiently within the team:
  • Staying with the confines of the agreed budget
  • Delivering a service that meets the requirements of the Digital Solutions business
  • Ensuring that transition activities and support are compliant with indirect business rules and regulations
  • Ensuring our internal and external customers and suppliers understand and are aligned to our strategic plans
  • Responding to regulatory and legislative change

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Sound understanding of the Financial Services industry and the platform market in particular
  • Good understanding of platform propositions and distribution channels
  • Knowledge of platform wrappers and investment solutions
  • Good market and competitor awareness
  • Programme/project management and planning
  • Good understanding of profitability measures, targets and drivers
  • General knowledge of legislative, regulatory and compliance requirements/issues
  • A good understanding of the issues involved in running an advisory business including the key financial dynamics and drivers and business controls
  • Good understanding of financial services distribution and advisory businesses
  • A good understanding of adviser Back Office systems and processes
  • A strong grasp of platform technology solutions
